Ember & Oak is edited according to a small set of principles that shape everything we publish.
We are an independent publication. We do not sell products, run affiliate links, publish sponsored content, or accept payment in exchange for editorial coverage of any kind.
Nutrition and wellness articles draw on peer-reviewed research, recognised clinical guidance, and the considered experience of qualified practitioners. Where evidence is contested, we say so plainly and cite the relevant literature.
We avoid sensational headlines, fear-based framing, unrealistic promises, and the language of miracle transformations. We prefer clarity to certainty and calm to alarm.
When we make a factual error, we correct it, note the correction at the foot of the article, and — for material changes — mention it in the following newsletter.
Readers are our most valued editors. If a piece needs a second look, please tell us.
